At our Brownhills garage we can carry out 3 types of MOT.

Class 4 (Car) MOT

Class 7 (Commercial Van) MOT

Class 1 & 2 (Motorbike) MOT

If you drive a vehicle on the road you must keep it in a roadworthy condition. The MOT test checks that your vehicle meets road safety and environmental standards.

MOT tests can only be carried out by trained and qualified specialists at centres authorised by the Department of Transport.

The MOT test isn’t the same as having your vehicle serviced and doesn’t check its general mechanical condition. We recommend that your get your vehicle regularly serviced as well as the compulsory MOT test.

Just a few checks can help you reduce the chance of failing your MOT test: Tyres: Check tread isn’t below your tyre’s tread-wear indicator Lights: Ask a friend to help you check they’re all working Number Plate: Ensure it’s well attached and free from damage Wipers: Make sure both wipers don’t smear or judder Washers: Check spray lands on windscreen. If clogged, clear with a pin Horn: Give it a toot, just to make sure

At our test centre in Brownhills, located just off the A5, we can test Class 4 (Cars) Class 7 (Light Goods) Class 1 & 2 (Motorbikes).
